  • 1. Must have custody of at least one child.
E.L.I.’s House is one of the few recovery programs that allow children to come with their mothers. Every child’s recovery receives as much focus as their mother’s.

Ultimate we believe that mothers and children heal better together!
  • 2. Must be experiencing/experienced some form of trauma.
Trauma can take many forms but it typically leads to the same sense of brokeness and hardship.

If you are experiencing or have experienced homelessness, domestic abuse, sex trafficking, prostitution, substance addictions, etc. and are desiring safety and healing for you and your children, E.L.I.'s House is for you.
  • 3. Must demonstrate a desire to heal and fully commit to E.L.I.'s House programming.
While in the E.L.I.'s House program, our staff, volunteers and community partners will be fully committed to your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing and growth - so we expect the same level of commitment from our residents!
  • 4. Must complete the E.L.I.'s House application.
We have a robust application but it is designed for us to get a true sense of you and your situation to make sure you would be a good fit for our program.

If you are in immediate danger, please contact help and ensure you are in a safe environment before attempting to complete the application.
  • 5. Must have an interview with an E.L.I.'s House staff member.
We like to meet all potential residents and ask further questions so that we can pray with you and also prayerfully consider if E.L.I.'s House is the best fit for you and vise versa!

Trauma experienced by Mom definitely affects her children. This is why our mission at E.L.I.’s House includes children.

Each child at E.L.I.’s House has their own individualized treatment plan and will work with a child life specialist. In addition to their own curriculum of recovery, children will enroll at the local elementary school or daycare. Annual check-ups with a pediatrician, dentist, and other health professionals, as well as age-appropriate counseling is provided. Children are well supported as they transition here and throughout their time at E.L.I.’s House by mentors, tutors, and support staff.
